Lise Lavallée

deputy for Repentigny
A notary by training, Lise Lavallée has always been very involved in her community. In addition to her involvement on the community scene, notably for the Relais pour la vie de Repentigny, the Maison Adhémar-Dion and the Center Inter-Femmes, she has also made her mark with the business community in her region, particularly within the Chamber of Commerce of the MRC de L'Assomption. Among other things, she was a member of the Business Women’s Committee and the Economic Development and Local Purchasing Committee.

His decision to go into politics was therefore a continuation of his commitment to his community. Elected Member of Parliament for Repentigny for the first time in April 2014, Ms. Lavallée has since brought important issues close to her heart, including that of juvenile prostitution. His awareness-raising work paved the way for the establishment of the Special Commission on the Sexual Exploitation of Minors in 2019.

It was also during her first term that Ms. Lavallée was made aware of the issue of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, an issue that she continues to follow closely. Reelected in 2018, the deputy for Repentigny is continuing the work started during the last legislature. She is particularly interested in anything related to youth protection. Recently, she also acted as commissioner-deputy on the Laurent Commission, whose report was presented on May 3.
